Counselling and Psychotherapy
At certain times we all need a little extra help and support to get us through those difficult periods. Talking things through with an understanding Counsellor can often be useful in helping to pin-point just where our difficulties - and our solutions - may lie.
Counselling is for everyone, not just for those with 'big problems'. Simply put, it is a practical way of looking to make your life better.
A little time taken for ourselves in this way, to undertake regular Counselling, can fetch many rewards, for ourselves, and for those we are close to.
Counselling can perhaps be descriped as shorter-term work, where todays issues are talked through. Psychotherapy perhaps seeks out the underlying 'root-causes' of our situations and is generally longer-term.
As a professionally qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist covering the Dumfries & Galloway, Ayrshire and Lanarkshire counties, I can help you to gain a better insight into whatever is troubling you - to take the action you need to take to improve your situation.
I have experience and special interest in helping clients who have found difficulties with :
Addiction
Alcohol
Anger Management
Anxiety
Bereavement
Confidence
Depression
Food
Life Coaching
Relationships
Stress
Problems at Work
I offer Counselling for all people - individuals, couples, children and families - with no additional cost.
Counselling is confidential. You can be free to talk about anything that is bothering you. I find that an initial getting-to-know-each-other appointment can be so helpful in taking that first step into Counselling. There is absolutely no obligation beyond this 'give it a try' session. I want you to feel comfortable, that you are free to take as much, or as little, time as you need to talk things through. Please see the other pages of the website for further information.
Many clients find that it doesn't take too long before the benefits of Counselling begin to ripple through their daily life. They tell me that just talking things through helps them to see their situation much more clearer and they begin to naturally feel stronger making decisions, taking action, and beginning to put what's wrong, right.
