ExperienceAlongside my private counselling clients, I work within the district as a Counsellor and receive referrals from a variety of professionals, including NHS Departments, GPs, and Occupational Therapists.
Professional MembershipI am full member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and am registered as a UK Therapist.
Code of EthicsI adhere to the BACP's Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
SupervisionGood therapeutic practice requires that my work is supervised. I commit to the BACP's recommended levels of supervision for counsellors in practice.
Supervision can be seen as a form of quality control and a way of ensuring that therapeutic standards are maintained.
My ApproachThere are many different models of therapy to choose from. I work using a range of approaches, as perhaps one model of counselling may not be helpful to everyone. I prefer to remain flexible to your requirements.
I aim to be sensitive to the cultural and ethnic origins of individuals and to people's religious beliefs and sexual orientation.
